Freeride World Tour

The Freeride World Tour (FWT) gathers together the best freeriders in the world. The first edition of this unique series of international events was completed in March 2008, culminating in the legendary Nissan Xtreme in Verbier, the final of the tour.

In 2010 FWT will visit four international destinations.

The Freeride World Qualifier (FWQ)

17  international events have been elected by the PFB to be part of the FWQ.

The FWQ events give points to:
1. any rider willing to qualify for a FWT;
2. FWT riders willing to score points in order to remain within the FWT.

While these events are independently organised they all have in common the fact that:
1. They use the same judging method as the FWT;
2. They reached a certain quality level in terms of organisation, communication, competition format, competition site, security and hospitality for the riders and benefit from the experience of the FWT and its advisor.

Pro Freeriders Board (PFB)

Pro Freeriders Board was founded to ensure the best possible conditions for the growth and development of the sport of freeriding.

PFB is composed of eight of the greatest champions of the sport:

Snowboard:
Ruth Leisibach (SUI), Cyril Neri (SUI), Mitch Toelderer (AUT), Xavier de le Rue (FRA)
Ski:
Aurélien Ducroz (FRA), Cody Townsend (USA), Henrik Windtsedt (SWE), Marja Persson (SWE).

PFB´s task is to establish the season´s competition calendar for both Freeride World Tour (FWT) and Freeride World Qualifier (FWQ) events, competition format and rules, judging method and the Freeride World Ranking (FWR) system.
